Back Lake

The Back Lake Project is located between Munn Lake and Back Lake, about 270 km northeast of the City of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. The area has no direct road connection and is accessible by ski or float equipped aircraft only. A seasonal winter ice road to supply DeBeers Canada Gahcho Kue Project at Kenady Lake transects the northern parts of Munn Lake and Margaret Lake. All fieldwork was completed out of SouthernEra's Munn Lake tent camp located at Munn Lake. Access to the grids and drill sites is by helicopter, fixed wing aircraft and snow machine.

SouthernEra Diamonds Inc., as operator of the diamond exploration program, remained focused on the discovery of the source of the North Margaret Lake and South One kimberlitic indicator mineral trains at the Back Lake Project in the North West Territories. The North Margaret Lake mineral train is 7 km. Long and up to 300 meters wide while the South One train is approximately 4 km. long and 250 meters wide.

Chapleau

On November 23, 2005 the Company announced the acquisition of 6,523 acres of prospective kimberlite ground in the Chapleau area of Ontario. Kalahari will pay for staking or leasing costs to earn a fifty (50%) percent working interest in the property. Recent staking has covered numerous zones with kimberlitic indicator minerals in sediments and till samples, and a series of circular airborne magnetic anomalies on strike with the discovery ground. The Company will further explore these anomalies and their magnetic pipe-like features.

This acquisition follows a six month in-house compilation programme by Chalice Diamond Corp. followed by field work to explore for diamonds in Ontario. Compilation of geological, geochemical, geophysical, assessment file and other data held or prepared by the Ministry of Northern Development of Mines, Ontario Geological Survey, Natural Resources Canada and the Geological Survey of Canada led to the discovery.

Wawa Diamond Properties

Kalahari has, along with its joint venture partner Chalice Diamond Resources, acquired an extensive diamond prospective land position in the Sault Saint Marie mining district. Located primarily in the Buckland, Delmage, and Dolson townships these properties cover some 9,100 hectares approximately 50km east of Wawa. Geophysical surveys have revealed several Keating anomalies which will be the focus of further exploration.

The Wawa - Chapleau Project area is underlain by the Archean age Michipicoten Greenstone Belt (MGB) and older basement granitoid rocks. Being Archean in age, the MGB was emplaced when the crust of the earth was much thinner than it is today. The MGB also has the greatest number of diamond occurrences in Archean rocks in Ontario and possibly in all of North America. The diamonds occur in a variety of unusual Archean rocks with a large percentage being micro diamonds. However, gem quality macro-diamonds have also been found.
