Sixteen Zone

Recent (2010) drilling (2,816.36 metres distributed over 14 DDHS) was conducted in order to validate previous results and extend the mineralized vein clusters. Some definition drilling (2011) is planned with the intention to add ounces to the resource calculation.

The Sixteen Zone was named for the T-16 magnetic anomaly defined in a geophysical compilation from 1986. It is located in the western part of the Property, just north of the southern By-Pass road between lines 212 W and 180 W.

Within the property the mineralized zones are defined as mesothermal, structurally controlled deposits, which are typical of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and abundant in other Archean greenstone belts around the world. The gold bearing quartz-tourmaline veins are young in geologic age and cut all rock-types including irregular intrusive (diorite) bodies, which are affected by regional deformation and greenschist grade metamorphism. In the Sixteen zone, most of the gold intersection was in a porphyritic Diorite and porphyritic granodiorite with 1 to 5% of pyrite in quartz tourmaline sericite carbonate veins.

Mylamaque Zone

The Villemaque or Mylamaque property block, equivalent to CM 375, which comprises a large part of the Teck-Golden Pond JV property was purchased by Teck and Mymar Mining and Reduction Limited (later changed to Dynamar Energy Limited) from Villemaque Gold Mines in 1977 for indebtedness. In July 1991 Dynamar forfeited all rights to the property to Teck as a result of non-payment of its share costs.

In 2003 Kalahari (now Integra)aquired the Lamaque Property from Teck Corporation. There are three known mine shafts on the Property, the No 2 shaft, the No 3 shaft and the Villemaque (Mylamaque) shaft.

The Villemaque property situated in the southern part of the property. Blecha (july 1985 and Scammell ans Frostad (november 1988) report that 45,000 feet (13,716 neters) of drilling in 75 surface drillholes were completed in the property between 1937 and 1948. These holes (P, Q, R series) are shown on Teck's geological compilation maps but not appear to be in the property database provide by Teck Cominco. In 1948, a vertical 3-compartment shaft (the Mylamaque Shaft) was sunk to a depth of 243 feet (74.06 meters) and 757 feet (230.73 meters) of lateral development were undertaken on two levels. A bulk sample consisting of 702 tons was extracted in 1950.

In 1962 magnetometer survey was conducted by Geophysical Engineering and Surveys Limited, in 1983 and 1984 a vertical gradiometer survey and seven drillholes totalling 4,073 feet (1,421.45 meters) testing magnetic anomalies was done. Blecha notes that the only occurence of gold mineralization indicated on the Villemaque property block other than that developed in Mylamaque shaft was indicated in hole R-12, wich encountered 0.044 oz Au/t over 2.5 feet (0.76 meters). This intersection was located close to a contact with a porphyritic intrusion.

No. 5 Plug

The No. 5 Plug is located approximately 250 metres northeast of the Parallel Vein System and consists of a diorite intrusion bordered to the south by an E-W Shear zone. The surrounding geological units consist of intermediate to mafic volcanics. A drill program (prior to 1987) was conducted for a total of 9,262 metres and consisted of 34 historical diamond drill holes.

No. 6 Vein

The Vein No. 6 is located approximately 2,000 feet west of the No. 1 Main shaft (Figure 8). The vein has an E-W strike length of about 800 feet. Veins interpreted to be tension veins dip at about 50°. Steeper dipping veins (75°) are interpreted to be hosted in Reidel shears.

The vein is hosted by a series of massive andesite or dacite and crystal tuffs and lapilli tuffs with several feldspar porphyry dykes. Generally a series of shear zones with vein injections cross-cut the dykes and tuffs. The vein itself generally ranges in width between 1 and 30 inches.

In 2006-2007, drilling (1,005.66 metres distributed over 4 DDHS) was completed in order to validate previous results and extend the mineralized vein clusters. Some additional definition drilling (2011) will be conducted with a goal of improving the understanding of the geologic model. A Re-sampling program was started by GEOLOGICA to add QA/QC for the 2004 to 2007 drilling with a total until now of 5 drill holes having been re-sampled.

Other Mineralized Zones

Several zones of mineralization (No. 35 Vein, North and South Shears) located north of, and/or within the No. 5 Plug were drilled by the Teck-Tundra JV from 1986 to 1988 (see Figure 6). Numerous other zones of mineralization have been intersected on the Property. Many of these latter zones were defined by intersections described in pre-1988 drill holes. In order to use this older data a review of the older drill hole logs and a creation of a digital database is required so that the intersections can be plotted on plan and section. These zones, and recently discovered new zones such as the Sigma Zone will also be validated and verified with additional drilling and eventually evaluated with definition drilling permitting resource calculations to be calculated.
